Our highlight: Kekova Bay

The Bay of Kekova is a gem with small villages, secluded bays and idyllic anchorages. Crystal clear, turquoise water invites to swim and snorkel. And ancient witnesses of a forgotten world tell stories about earlier times.

Description
Fischerdorf SimenaParts of the coast are covered with the remains of Byzantine sarcophagi, which you can hava a close look at. You’ll also find the most famous sarcophagus of Turkey, which can be found on almost every postcard. You have the opportunity to visit the charming fishing village of Simena, where time seems to stand still. A steep path brings you to the top of the hill where the castle of Simena is located. It can be visited for a small entrance fee. From the top you will have a wonderful view on the harbor and the beautiful coastline. Walking up the hill is worthwhile in any case!

Sarkopharg in SimenaKekova, the sunken city, is located directly opposite of Simena. Kekova is famous for its ancient remains and the underwater ruins. While the boat is slowly sailing along the coast, you can see the foundations of some buildings, stairways and the harbor basin. With a little imagination you can revive the ancient culture.
